- This rear brake rod adjusts 1". This adjustable rod gives you a whopping 3 1/4" range of adjustment for your brake pedal, allowing you to put the brake pedal in the most comfortable position for You.
- By being able to adjust the brake pedal about 1" closer (up) than stock, or up to 2.25" further (down) than stock, you can put the brake pedal where it is most comfortable, and where you have the best control in rear brake application, making for much safer braking.
- This Adjustable Brake Rod will work with your factory brake pedal.
- The Stainless Rod, Heim Joints & Coupler can be polished to a chrome like finish, or, after you have your adjustment dialed in, you can paint it the color of your choice.
- This is one of those "little mods" that can really make a difference in the Comfort & Safety of Your Ride!
- There is a drop down for year models AND whether you have Forward or Mid Controls.

Great idea' does not adjust up 1 inch on 04 XL Custom 1 people found this helpfulWell really wanted this to work. Beware- measure your Brake Rod before ordering. Did not do as described for 2004 XL1200 Custom. You can adjust down but not up 1 inch as described. Rod fully extended sane as stock. 18.5 inch. The made offer to sell me additional part for another $30.00 or return. I opted to return. They were good about communication. Just wish that there optional fix was not going to cost me more money. Oh well. Lesson learned.

It's ok 1 people found this helpfulNot sure if it made any difference at all. Maybe if you adjusting pedal downwards. Looks cool fits good. Don't like how you have to adjust it off the bike because both threads are the same direction.

Awesome if you need a lower pedal 3 people found this helpfulI purchased this in the hopes of actually raising my brake pedal a little. The length of this for the 2005 Sportster with forward controls will allow about 1/8" of an inch if you leave exactly 1/4 of thread in the rod ends. I was hoping for more than an 1/8 of an inch of adjustment so the purchase was a disappointment considering my intended purpose of raising my brake pedal. If you need to lower your pedal this works great but keep in mind the minimal amount you'll achieve when trying to raise the pedal.

I don’t understand why the two ends are not one left and one right thread do that the length could be adjusted in situ. The one I received the threads are identical and so to adjust the length it needs to be disconnected at the front end. If this were resolved it would be 5 stars all the way

Quality product, quality Customer Support 1 people found this helpfulMy 2007 Sportster's brake pedal has a solid bar attached to it so it can't be adjusted. The adjustable brake bar is a solution and DK Custom Products part is of high quality. The one I received was a little too long for the adjustment I desired. Their customer service emailed me back within a few hours and fixed the problem. I would recommend them to everyone.

2017 XL1200CX adjustable brake rod 0 people found this helpfulDoes exactly what it is designed to do. Me being short created one issue. I installed a HD Reach seat day one and then (after the first season) sent it to Sargent Seats to move the rise forward another 1-1/2". Consequently my adjustment of the brake pedal caused it to interfere with the stock muffler shield when deploying the brake. Without the shield installed- no issue. So I cut an oblong hole in the shield under the brake lever and it works perfectly. Devin has a photo of the modification.

It worked 0 people found this helpfulI installed it on a 2006 Sportster. Switching from forward to mid controls. Believe I purchased a newer model mid-control set because I had to bend an “S” curve in the straight link to get the brake cylinder end of the link close enough to the frame to attach and not bind. Works fine after modification.
